Ridesafe – I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have been a support person in the Equestrian scene for 16 years; being involved with Pony Club, NZ Equestrian Federation Showjumping and doing administrative work for shows in my area. Based in the Wairarapa, I enjoy attending as many shows as I can possibly get to, in or out of the area. I have been a Ridesafe Partner in the Wellington/Wairarapa region for the past 3 years and have loved watching the company grow from strength to strength. An opportunity arose for me to take over the ‘reins’ of the Ridesafe operation in 2006. I share the philosophy, as with the previous owners, wanting to ensure that in our wonderful sport, safety is a priority. I recognize there are inherent dangers and many injuries each year. Through Ridesafe, I will work with the community to help fine-tune the safe practices of Equestrian Sport in New Zealand.
