In 1964, Sherrill Duncan couldn’t find a pair of Justin Boots in Southern Illinois. Sherrill decided that if he couldn’t find Justins, neither could anybody else. So he became a Justin Boot dealer and opened Double “D” Boot Shop on the enclosed front porch of his house. Response was good and in a few years, half the house was stacked full of boot boxes. So, in 1974, Sherrill and his wife, Dora Mae Duncan, built the new, full-fledged Double “D” Western Wear, right there on the farm, next to their house, 3 ½ miles east of Salem, Illinois on US Hwy 50. it has been a very successful business, growing and evolving, with the help of their son, Jeff and his wife Caroline and good friend, sandy, along with a host of other past employees and friends over the last 40 years. Double “D” Western Wear & Tack now carries a full line of western wear, boots, hats, jeans, saddles and tack, rodeo equipment and everything else it takes to make a cowboy and cowgirl happy. Nearly 40 years of experience gives you quality products and quality service that our customers have grown to expect.
