Cheryl Dangel Cullen is the founder and principal of Cullen Communications. We specialize in orchestrating public relations campaigns and advertising programs, including design and writing projects for a national client base. Before that, she was account executive in the Hartford, CT office of Creamer Dickson Basford, a national PR firm, managing programs for Emhart Home Products and Stanadyne Diesel Systems. During this time, Cullen’s articles appeared in more than 16 different magazines. She wrote articles with her byline or on behalf of her clients that appeared in American Printer, Graphic Arts Monthly, Printing Impressions, New England Printer & Publisher, Paperboard Packaging, Package Printing & Converting, Quick Printing, Graphic Network, Designer, Art Material Trade News, Modern Machine Shop, Metlfax, Photonics Spectra, Trailer Body Builders, Doors & Hardware, Custom Woodworking Business among others. Before moving to Connecticut in 1986, Cullen worked at Burson-Marstellers Chicago office, among the largest and most influential public relations agencies in the world. There, she was a special event marketer on the team that launched NutraSweet and Equal low-calorie sweetener. She is experienced with entertainment public relations from her tenure at Margie Korshak Associates, Inc., where she managed the grand opening of Chicago’s State of Illinois Center, numerous restaurant, retail and theater openings, and helped coordinate promotions for America’s Marathon/Chicago.
