CMG Russia was created in 1994, in Montreux, Switzerland, as a support act marketing communications agency aimed at serving western multinational clients in Russia. Immediate and dynamic business growth of the Russian economy enabled CMG to concentrate entirely on the Russian market filling an increasing need for a western approach to marketing communications with results-orientated responsible team of young professionals to manage successful marketing programmes. By 1996, we had put together a client list that would do a credit to many a Russian agency. And we did it by single-mindedly starting out to make ourselves the best support act agency in the country, thus gaining the position of Russias No. 1 Number Two Agency. Such strategy, supported by excellent performances on all of our marketing assignments allowed us to gain an even stronger share of Fortune 500 companies represented in Moscow. With a rapid increase in client base, more complicated assignments were allocated to CMG, which went in line with development of the team, including industry placements and training in the UK, skills and knowledge-acquisition through constant team growth, and a top European Entrepreneurship MBA education for CMG management from Imperial College Management School in London - No. 1 Entrepreneurship School in Europe. 1998 was a pivotal year for CMG when all companies in Russia suffered extensively from a financial crisis. Many companies have left the Marketing and Advertising field completely. We passed through the crisis with grace - thanks to a diversified client base and an excellent team spirit. We shrugged off economic gloom and have delivered a sustained, profit-funded growth each year since. Currently we employ 16 professionals and are looking forward to further team expansion by attracting and retaining the best talents, upgrading and up-rating the services, building stronger relationships with clients, and further integrating with the business community.
